Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I am sure some of you are scrambling to get a gift together from the kids to mom or dad. Don't panic, I got you covered! Everyone needs coasters and these babies are super simple to make. Chances are you won’t even have to go to the store to buy materials. You may have all the stuff around the house (fingers crossed).
What you will need:
2 or 4 - 4X4 tiles. The left-over bathroom tiles you have will work!
Coloring book or roll of coloring wrapping paper - (I found mine in the $1 bin at Michael's)
Crayons or colored pencils
Modge Podge glue (you can also find this at Michael's)
Sponge brush
Scissor

To get started trace around the tile on to the paper and cut out the square. Repeat this for each coaster you are making.

Now let the kids do some coloring or you could use some drawings you already have. This is such a nice way to display their artwork and get it off of the refrigerator.

Once the coloring is done. Flip the paper squares over and apply a thin layer of Modge Podge using the foam brush now place the square on the tile. Smooth out using the handle of the foam brush to eliminate any bubbling. Wait about 2-3 minutes and apply a top layer of Modge Podge. Let dry and add about 2 more coats. Once these beauties are dry tie them up with some pretty string.

The kids are going to be so excited to give these handmade treasures!

Whoever is lucky enough to get this wonderful gift will be sure to admire them every morning when placing their beverage of choice on top!
Happy Valentine's Day!
XO
